Bound in hand-tooled calfskin leather over boards and printed on wood-free Cream Wove paper. Printed to commorate 400 years of Bible printing by the Cambridge University Press, this book is a treasure to own, hold and read.

Every page is based on a photo reproduction of the original - only three of which still exist - only one is complete! This was the Bible which the Pilgrims carried with them on their voyage to the new world.

The first Bible printed in England outside London and by anyone other than the Queen's Printers, and from which much of the language of the King James was later taken - except for that which offended the king, of course!

The response from London was quick and uncompromising - the stocks of printed Bibles were seized and charges were brought against the printers...

Buy your copy and read the accompanying booklet packaged with each copy which tells the history and heritage of the Cambridge 1591 printing of the Geneva Bible.

Printing limited to 500 copies, a rare treasure!

By the way, the picture here is of my own copy - feels as good as it looks! The sword and fleece are also the real thing, but then, that is another story...
